I was suddenly taken away.
I didn't really understand,
why I couldn't stay.

Was it your love for me,
that made you let me leave?
Or was it that you loved him more,
and chose him over me?

These words that cut like a knife,
you were once heard to say.
That before you would leave him,
you would follow me to my grave.

Now the years have quickly passed,
I've grown in every way.
If you ask me how I made it,
I would have to say the hard way.

I want to blame you for it all,
but I love you and I cry.
All I really want to know is,
why, mother, why?

Dear Katt, I know you love God's Word and it says, :"Time and unforeseen occurrences befall all mankind." So one or the other is bound to catch up with us sooner or later. But your poor Mother didn't want to die and leave you behind dear Katt. Who of us do, but one day He will reverse this terrible tragedy. We will welcome our loved ones back, not to a world of grief, but a world of joy and happiness.
This poem was very touching indeed!
Warm love
consue

This is very emotional. Very heartfelt. Such a question of why is so hard to answer, but still, may you find peace within.

This is a very sad poem. But always remember you still made it, the hard way. What hurts us makes us stronger. I think your words are emotionally charged and I applaud you as it shows you have coped. Sue x

Thank you for sharing. Each person has a feeling about their Moms. Some run like a golden lining and others a grain of sand just with in our reach but never quite close to grasp. Nice write .It's feelings felt within each line .
