Thinking to herself, not making a sound.
A tear falls down her cheek, as she closes her eyes.
She can't keep it in, no matter how hard she tries.
The pain goes so deep, like a dagger piercing her heart.
Why does it have to be her, she thought she'd done her part.
She loved him so much, he was the man of her dreams.
Now he's just a fading image, or so it seems.
She puts on a show, to hide the pain.
She wants to break free, it's driving her insane.
As the wind blows through her hair, she'll say one last prayer.
For her love to come through, but he will never be there. I've experienced this feeling...
Loving someone...
And losing someone...
That's why we have memories...
To remind us that pain is real...

Great poem! Very moving.
Keep writing!

First read o' yer work, juju, and I'm rightly impressed. It's almost unfair that pain brings a sense of coherence, realization and eloquence to our thoughts, and us dang poets, we always have to put it in words 'n' rhyme. Good work!

A very well penned poem filled with such pain and sadness. You write with a pained and wounded heart. It does get better in time for time heals all wounds. May u find a true love who shall wipe the pains of love from ur beautiful heart real soon.
big warm hugs,
