I bend
I bend
I break

Dreams all give
a final bow
It's more
than I
can take

Price of hope
was oh so high
I paid
the bitter
cost

Epic battle
fought for love
I came
I saw
I lost

Pain and desolution, sadness all wrapped into this short and powerful piece.
I really feel this Larry, hang on.

Oh my goodness! I love it. I'm not even one hundred percent sure why. But there is something about it that is just so beautiful that it just makes me love it. Maybe I'm too over dramatic.

The presentation of thought in thought lines of one to three words so visually displayed makes brevity an ally, not only to the giver of this poem, but also the recipient!

I was really grabbed by the double "bend" in the first verse, told me "It's not that I didn't try and try again!"

This is a word master's poem.

There are a lot of really good poets on this site, but it's no secret that I come here day after day mainly to read you..I wait and wait and wait... then I get this giving up *****. Some woman I suppose....Well damn it larry..forget love and write about autumn leaves or your new grandchild or something. Frankly, I'm tired of the whining. But I love your poetry........

Oh Gosh, Larry.

You are one heck of a writer, you twist the words in such away that everyone can feel the pain.

That end stanza particularly hit hard, the last three lines...wow.

Good write, I am just very sad that you are so down.

*hugs*
