this wonderful world for our delight
designed that all its charms should fade
and pass forever from our sight
that all should wither and decay
remembering no life but this
with only one single survey
of all its beauty and its bliss

It cannot be that all the years
of toil and care and grief we live
shall find no recourse but our tears
no sweet return that earth can give
that all that leads us to aspire
and struggle onward to achieve
and every unattained desire
were given only to deceive

It cannot be that after all
the mighty conquests of the mind
and hearts shall pass beyond recall
and leave no record here behind
that all our dreams of love and fame
and hope that time has swept away
all that enthralled our mortal frame
shall not return some other day

It cannot be that all the ties
of kindred souls and loving hearts
are broken when our body dies
and our immortal mind departs
that no serener light shall break
at last upon our mortal eyes
to guide us as our footsteps make
the pilgrimage to paradise

Well some may say, its horrible, and some may say its life........But....What can i say to one who has felt all, and more.! Yes, its the way life seems to go. Yet, we have to try and make it better, no matter what is put in front of us.! YOU, know, the best, it can fall...But, what should YOU do?! Pick it up and make what is there, the best.! I felt this write inside and out, and can all to much relate.! Thanks for sharing more Billy! You know Im always a type away, for sharing with a friend.

Hugs,
Brew~

Oh my! That last stanza!! BRILLIANT. (now go look for that
publisher . . . like I done tollya)

Billy, you really and truly have remarkable talent. I have yet
to be witness to anything you've written that I , one, didn't like
and two, wasn't blown away by.

This is no exception. You have an intensity that grabs your
reader and holds them captive, soaking in every word
until it becomes a part of them . I am continually left
in awe and envy whenever visiting your pages.

But NEVER in disappointment do you leave me, dear Billy.

Awesome write.
