This is not a lost cause
Proceed and pause
Right before you kneel for the lord
Draw your sword
Paint your face
To fit the sane
Sanitarian ward
Federal offense
Mail fraud
The letter closed
Sealed, yet imposed
To the elements
Which seek to transpose-
Their own fears
Projecting woes
Protecting clothes
Nude skin exposed

Once-

The freedom tower rose
In six years from the holes
From the ashes and bones
Gashes, cuts, and stitched up
Healed hearts
Beginnings often start
In places ordinarily thought of as dark
In some cases bleak
If you disagree now
Forever hold your speak
Show them the key
To the city, a pity, greedy subcommittee
Pet the fluffy kitty pussy
Roughly, approximately, she’s pretty
However, there is a little itty, bitty, tiny, teeny problem
There are not enough pillows
Or covers from the bottom
