As the light of day diminishes,
And darkness is felt all around,
I feel the cold run straight to my heart,
And the light is nowhere to be found.
Anything i touch, I can't feel,
Anywhere i look, I can't see,
I'm trapped within this dark world of mine,
And there's no way i can set myself free.
The darkness envelopes around my heart,
Trying to force it's way in,
Trying to consume every part of me,
And i feel like i'm starting to give in.
I need your hand to hold, I need your heart to warm mine,
I need your guiding spirit, this is getting out of line
Hold me now, hold me tight, Don't ever let me go.
Tell me everything will be alright,
Tell me you believe, tell me you know
I need you now, to hold my hand,
And help me through the day.
Show that your love for me,
Will forever light my way.
Help me please, for I am lost,
No one can hear me screams
Sleep deprived, growing weak,
As nightmares fill my dreams.
The nights get longer, as it gets harder to sleep.
Why does this fear, have to run so deep?
I lay with eyes open, as i stare into space.
Shaking in terror, alone in this frightful place.
So tired i can't sleep, to scared to close my eyes.
It is so very painful, when i break down and cry.

Night Terror Overtaking

As the light of day diminishes,
