swirling up the avenue, scarves of mist..
in the dark alley down the way,
an obscure silhouette..
discernible only by a, now and then
waxing and waning, red-tipped cigarette..

as out of depth as I, seeing not
the uncertain sky but only
the ever-changing heaven of your face.

We laughed gravely at old fallacies,
dissected the bones of old hurts
and told ourselves brave unhappy things.
My heart glutted on this wonder
and the green freedom around me.

The first slow raindrop touched my cheek,
I did not heed it;
this moment never to be betrayed..

a tremendous understanding.

I lost sight of you then..
something deeper held my heart and eye
demanding any further impetuous cry
for you die
upon my tongue.

Fascinating I love the POV change. It was
unexpected and pulled off with ease. An incredible piece.

Bravo

My dearest friend you have certainly picked me up from the pits you know that. Exactly what I needed to read today.
Eloquent, stylish and penned in a very brilliant manner. Your brilliance can be topped by no other my dear friend. A true poetic master in every aspect. A phenomenal mind blowing masterpiece. Hats off to u ~*Billy*~

Holy heck Billy!!

I read this days ago . . . and returned thrice now, to relive it's
masterfulness. Damn, but you do have a way with words. [Not
to mention the eloquence in which you put your sensationally
profound thoughts!]

I'm not sure I fully understand this, but I take something from it
with me. I feel poetry, from a reader's pov, is essentially as
personal as the writer's reasons for penning it in the first place.

I've said this before --
You have amazing depth and clarity, my friend. And the thoughts
you provoke are just as deep. [intendedly so, I would imagine]

Thank you for continuing to share. Your words never fail to provide some
sort of comfort [as strange as that may sound] and enlightenment for me.

~Breezy
