Watching, waiting for her next kill
Will it be a murderer or rapist she thinks?
Who will she take over life’s brink?

Visions come in darkest night
Then she is ready to fight
Tonight it is a child molester
For months he has tormented and pestered

Two young sisters his wife’s children
They quake at the sight of his den
Never a moment of peace these waifs have known
Now she would devise a torture of her own

She came to him looking like a child
Rubbing against him driving him wild
Turning into a tiger fierce
Through the night his screams did pierce

In the morning all that they found
Were a few pieces of flesh laying around
A note lay near what was left
As through the scene they did sift

Warning others of the same fate
If their evil desires they sate
The midnight avenger has struck again
And a strong message she did send

ooooo Shari I loved this. I need the night avenger!! ROFLMAO! THis was dark and it gave me the sense of her lurking in the dark to do away with the evil of this world.

This is a brilliant piece of work! It closely reflects my feelings towards those who would dare to harm a child. You have created a mythical creature who stands up for the kids in a powerful way! I only wish your Night Avenger were real. There is so much abuse out there that goes unavenged! Thank you for this excellent write!

E xcellent poem Shari.
It rings home in a perfect way the tragic that hardly anything id being done to protect the children from ultimate evil and destruction.
Fictional compositionh, but sadly veracity of the situation.

It make be fictional and not part of our imperfect world Shari, but what a wonderful thought.........so many are sent to jail innocent, and those that really kill are set loose.........this idea is great! Great writing again.......marvelous imagination also!
Warm love
