Even if the house is alive.
Full of things you want to keep,
But some you want to hide.
The mirror confuses you,
You need to keep it but you hide it away,
Your locked up heart,
Your skies of grey.
Your little secret from the past,
Your memory that'll always last.

A broken piece, your broken heart,
Your feelings never fade,
The cutlery you keep with it will always be the same.
There is a piece missing like the person who was taken,
She was stolen by the angels,
Some guardians they are,
They try to take your best friend,
Make me into a star.
They say you can catch them,
The moment I fell,
You picked me up, saved me from hell.
Will you always remember the way you saved me,
Tried to stop me being the way I was meant to be,
I'll never be able to leave you as she could,
I have the power but I never would.
Your mirror will remind you of the way she had to go,
But me standing there will help you I know.
I'm the one that you save,
The hope that you gave,
The reason you didn't leave here yourself,
The reason you put death on a shelf.
The pillow you hug when you feel like death,
The elixer to give you the last ever breath,
I'll always be there in full by your side,
I won't be the mirror you have to hide.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
