Reflection silver in the afternoon Themes
Some people they hardly touch
Rarely smile if they can avoid it
They walk in closed personal space

My love and I hold hands
On the London eye
As night falls we dash down the Strand
Racing the cold

And he looks at me and I look at him
We stand on Waterloo Bridge and he dares me
If I love him to jump in
We laugh but he know I would
He knows what I no longer try to hide

Big Ben chimes twelve
The fireworks start
In the explosions of light
I look into your eyes
And you see my naked heart

You say you love me
And I know you are sincere
You take my trembling hand
As we go I feel no fear

Two more stars in heaven tonight
The city around us sleeps
Thousands lost and lonely
Turned to cold, the weight to much
To be jealous of what we have
A light in the indifferent dark
Of name less sleepers

First rays of the cold dawn
Everything is fine
You keep me warm
Sparrows sing to no one
The sky is sombre grey
My London I love
But it is no place to be alone
Better to have someone
When you greet a London dawn

I just had to read this I got so many memories of London town.
A few i've written as poetry i.e my waterloo (not trying to plug my work just reflecting! but it's well worth reading lol!)

God i could tell some stories....

Thanks for bringing a smile to my face .

It reads rather selfishly, although I appreciate the highlights.

the indifferent dark of nameless sleepers?

interesting,
