[bodytext] => Love is a river that pools in your heart It thrives in your soul and it's missing a part That part is a girl who may be your wife But she's also the one that may ruin your life Don't think these words are meant to bring you down They're here to remind you when I'm not around That life's not all roses and peaches and cream Sometimes you must stand and fight for your dream My advice comes to you through my view of pain A time when I loved once, when I loved in vain The girl that I loved was perfect for me At least I though I knew we were meant to be For once in my life I was living a dream But Life's not all roses and peaches and cream I was sitting at work on that fateful day I'm telling you nothing was going my way The love of my life had just called my cell She spoke a few words, she had something to tell She said her love for me was no more It was then on that day that my heart hit the floor I told her to wait, to come see me at home So that we could talk somewhere we're alone So I pulled out our pictures and laid them all out I set out the candles in the room all about Then I waited for her to walk through the door And then when she did SHE dropped to the floor I looked to her face and watched for a smile But instead I found an expression so vile she looked to my eyes and what did I see? A face full of anger, "Ken, Why do this to me?" "Do this to you? What the hell do you mean? You are the one that did this to me." It had been so many years since I really cried But then on that day my eyes couldn't be dried My heart was broken by the love of my life I thought she just may have been my future wife So I live my life one day at a time Waiting for someone who longs to be mine I thought for a while I was living my dream...
