You who are so full of light,
Give yourself to mother night
Here beneath the moon’s soft glow,
No one else will ever know

Slip between the cracks of light,
And don the shadows of dark night
Dance with me in ebon glow,
No one else need ever know

Weave the silk of darkest light
As hearts beat one inside the night
Share secrets learned in supine glow
For you and I to truly know

Soon the shards of morning light,
Like golden arrows pierce the night
Go swiftly with your face aglow,
And only I will ever know.

Very nice work. Perfect meter & the poem flows like music. I think this should be read with a little waltz music in the background. Cool pidture too!

Beautifully composed work. This flows very well, excellent use of the AA BB rhyming pattern. Exactly how it should be done.

What a perfect title!! So flowing and soft were the words, spike. And I love how you used the
same words at the end of each line in each stanza. The repition amplifies the waltz theme, I
think. Your cleverness and poetic prowess is, to me, so cunningly hidden under your ability
to just .... ....well ... ....just write.
Whatever it is that cascades from your willing pen is, in my opinion, always and ever a treat
and severly under-rated. Thanks for this. It has created a definite mood ... and one that
is pleasant to visit.
