This week his was my fuzzy blue bathrobe and he told me to do one on soap on a rope. So, J- here is my meaningless and ill-defined contribution to humourous poetry for your behalf. xxt [bodytext] => I'm ahead of procurement for Prison Ward 9,
Until January 4th, things were just fine,
That's when it started, when the saga begins,
Now it's time I take a stand and make some amends.
I got in an order, quite the normal thing,
It was signed by the warden (i.e. "the king").
But something amiss on the paper I eyed,
It was either a joke or falsified.
It was nestled in with all our standard means,
Like toothpaste and socks, and 12 cans of green beans.
1 Million orders for our single small ward-
Not soap on a rope, but soap on a chord?
I sat there in awe at this great oversight,
and vowed to find out and make it all right.
So I went to the warden and pointed it out,
But he waved me away with a discernible pout.
He said soap on a chord was for each man to keep,
And the lavendar sort would help the all sleep.
I tried to explain that we'd ordered too many,
But he wanted enough, and that would be plenty.
And sure enough to my surprise,
We've used all that soap- only 200 guys.
So what then became of the chord from the soap?
Well the men combined all the chords and fashioned a rope.
Early one morning we find the prison deserted,
They'd shymied down 100ft walls, with guards unalerted.
So that was my dilemma, so I sit and ponder my fate,
For Prison Ward 9 has no more inmates.
