[time] => 2006-01-11 04:32:29 [hometext] => This poem is the first part in revealing the mysteries behind Meditation and will follow in subsequent parts [bodytext] => Mind is a laundered cloth, taking the color of the dye
If dipped in thought of god, to desires it bids Bye! Bye!
Bring the mind back to god by following Abhyasa Yoga
Which practice is commended even in the Bhagvad Gita

Begin with Pratyahara , the state where mind be calm
If your mind is not back to the world, you need not alarm
Have time to breathe!, “have time to even meditate”
Don`t call lord to say, ”I did not think of Thee” and SLATE!

Think lacking spirituality!, that`s the time to approach god
Determine to ride vicious horse, to claim a king`s sword
Early morning, noon, evening and midnight you meditate
Your mind is there and you want no one to mediate

To realize, the ‘I’ not the body and soul, but the spirit
Every thought, and feeling on him, you concentrate
Be quite and be unrelated to the world in this hour
Yearn for the truth and realize your mind`s power

Do the work required of you, but direct it to the lord
Identify yourself with eternity, and it will lead you to god
Remain calm, seat the lord in the temple of your heart
Now the mind is ready to be absorbed and lei it depart.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
