Not a dollar for a dream
No sheild from the rain
Not as easy as it seems
Just us two
Trying to salvage our love
Only me and you
And the lord above
We lost everything
Except the clothes on our back
We have a love with no ring
Because we cant afford that
No fancy dinners
Only the dollar menu
But I still feel like a winner
When I'm with you
Sleeping on an air mattress
But atleast we're together
We're a love in progress
That nothing can sevor
No riches
But who needs it
As long as I have your kisses
I stand undefated

Man, I really liked this. It was harsh...it was real...it was sweet. Sounds like you have a positive attitude and as long as you have that and love you'll never lack for a thing. Peace to you, Laura....and thanks for sharing!

Wow I wish all misses from da hood were like that unfortunately there not...
those chicken heads are the ones that gives us people from the hood a bad rap..
My mo is from the hood... but she haves moral...
I guess real love is seen and notice only by those that posses it...
But even those people can still be decieved
I love you for writing that because that is what I look for... peace..
& Love
Harlem stand up!

I like your style of understanding,,,,,
Very deep
I believe if love was unconditional for mankind there would be no divorce.....

Love is Love
