[hometext] => this poem was about when my uncle died. R.I.P. Donald Rullman the 3rd
[bodytext] => Love what you have Forget about what you want Because you'll never know how much you've got Until one day its gone I was at a championship game My team and I were playing basketball We'd won 1st place in the tournament I'd felt like I was 10 feet tall I couldn't wait to tell my uncle That my team and I had won 1st place But when I walked into his house There was a sad look on everyones face I called for my uncle Waiting for him to answer When he didn't reply my dad told me The he had died of cance One day he was there The next day he was not That moment I found out he died I'd felt like I'd been shot The fact that we had won the game And on the same day my uncle died Made me sad and happy and the same time So I cried and cried and cried Sometimes I wonder if we hadn't won the game Would my uncle still be alive? I guess I'll never know the answer Because I can't turn back time It's been almost 4 years now And I still feel like I'm lost I'm still really happy we won that game But we won it at a cost So I'm asking you to please love what you have And forget about what you want I've learned now I need to do this Because my uncle is gone [comments] => 1 [counter] => 158 [topic] => 39 [informant] => Jo0323 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )
