I sit on the park bench for hours.
Nobody sees me.
I feel as if time is moving so slow.
I watch as tens of people pass me without a single glance.
I cry, alone.
My broken heart wishing to be put back together.
I am a ghost to my own world.
A ghost that goes unseen.
A ghost that goes unheard.

whelll i just had to sign on
in order to comment on your poem

i would vote your first poem here
as "the best poem of the day" ...

why?

because it is so brilliantly simple,
articulate, meaningful and real ...
especially in this, today's world,
controlled and occupied by the mass media
of superficiality and technology,
of political, economic, religious and social self-indulgence.

your amazing poem does not stoop to, nor resorts to,
the "metaphoria" of inner demons, wrist cuttings,
suicide, or to other self-serving emotive inflictions and destruction

it is also not the helpless self-pityings by most poets,
lost to their own soulful yearnings and spiritual emptiness.

nor is it the type of fatuous romantic simperings
of many idealistic writers, like myself.

it is neither clever in its structure and style,
or haughty in its attempt to seek newer juxtapositions and
symbolisms of the outmoded thoreau-dickinson-idyllic purist types.

yea ... do keep it up!

claps for anarchy
