[hometext] => Written some time ago about a child I knew who died when she was just four years old.
[bodytext] => Once I knew a little girl, the daughter of a friend. This child's life, God decided, to put to an end. Little Bertie, four years old, died in June on a morning cold. Little Bertie, young and sweet, running wild on tiny feet. Full of laughter, full of joy, chasing after a favourite toy. Energetic, full of life, always getting into strife. Feeling sleepy, go to bed. Woozy tummy, aching head. Mum gets worried, somethings wrong. Bertina's sleeping far too long. Call the doctor.....Hospital! Can't you cure this child so fragile? Meningococcal Meningitis. Hard to diagnose. Virus fatal, feeling helpless. Too easy a life goes! She wrapped her arms around my neck. Angelic charms I can't forget. Her cheeky smile, her eyes aglow. She lived a while, then had to go. In God's garden she now lives. And with my faith I can forgive, the tragic way she had to die. I trust the Lord had reasons why.
