Array ( [sid] => 111505 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Hurtful Games You've Played [time] => 2005-12-15 00:58:04 [hometext] => I wrote this poem about a girl that started out as my best friend, then we stepped further into our relationship, and what started out like everlasting love turned to the worse. [bodytext] => I’ve lost friends before, But none of them were like you.
You were the one I trusted most, The one I could truly turn to.
We started out as friends, But then there was more to endure.
I fell in love with my best friend, It started out great and then got worse.
I gave you the only key to my heart, And you said that you would keep it forever.
Now it’s just twisted metal, It’s like you had beat it with a hammer.
Now I can’t let you out, To let someone else in.
So now I’m slowly dying, From all of this pain held within.
And now all my hopes are gone, And all of my dreams have been shattered.
All because of your untruthful promise, Of a happy ever after.
So what do I do now, Where do I go from here?
Cuz you shattered every part of me, And left me with nothing but fear.
Fear of giving my heart, To someone new.
In fear it will turn out, The same way it did with you.
The fact of the matter is, I thought we had something real.
Untill you chewed me up, and spit me out, then came in for the kill.
And just when I thought, That there was no more of me for you to hurt.
You found a piece hidden’, And stomped it in the dirt.
You think it’s all a game, And while you’re having your little fun.
Do you ever stop to consider, The damage you have done?
Do you even care, That you caused this pain I have inside?
Do you even care, How many times you’ve made me cry?
Do you even care, That all I think about is you?
Do you even care, All the heartache you’ve put me through?
Yes I’ve told some lies, I admit it, It’s true.
But at least I never lied about, Being in love with you!
And somehow you’ve managed, To make me the blame.
That is just so typical of you, You’re right, I’m wrong, the same ol’ same.
But I’ll tell you what, I’ll make you this deal.
I’ll forgive you for being fake, If you forgive me for being real.
If you forgive me for loving you, I’ll forgive you for not loving me enough.
I’ll forgive you for never being there, If you forgive me for being there when your times
got rough.
If you forgive me for giving you my heart, I’ll forgive you cuz you didn’t.
If you forgive me for hearing everything you’ve ever said, I’ll forgive you for never
listening.
I keep trying to move on, And mend my broken heart.
But every time I do, You tear it back apart.
You’ve heard me say I’m sorry, For something I did not do.
But never once did I hear a sorry, Ever come out of you.
But you know what, you can keep it to yourself, It wouldn’t be anything new.
Cuz if I heard a sorry come from your mouth, I know it wouldn’t be true.
So your wish is my command, I will leave you alone.
Just give me the pieces to my broken heart, And I’ll go on and mind my own.
But before I leave, I just have one more thing left to say.
Thank you for destroying my life, With the hurtful games you’ve played. Dude I got shivers reading this you don't
know how much I can relate this. Girls are
like this though cruel and vindictive.
"I’ll forgive you for being fake, If you forgive me for being real."
That line was so right on girls thrive on being
fake. I just broke up with my gf a few days ago
and I am just realizing what a fake she was.
Anyway this was an awesome poem dude I
can't state enough how much I love it. I'm
gonna go read it again thanks for sharing this
and feel free to PM me.

Wow Justin, this is full of emotion! I can also relate to these feelings. Some of the lines seem a little long but generally the poem has a good flow. Great write!
