Families sleeping, who could tell
That in the shadows, lies a shape
In the dark, nowhere to escape
His clothes are torn, he has no home
He runs the streets, just to roam
Where is the joy? Where is the love
We leave them hungry, with no thought of
Where they’ll sleep, or where they’ll bathe
We turn our heads, Our dignity to save
We’ll tell our friends, someone else will give
There’s a shelter somewhere for them to live
It’s they’re own fault, why wont they work
That’s what we say, our help for them we shirk
This year I ask of you, please do your part
Help the less fortunate and needy, have a heart
Give just a little, share what you will
And soon the strife in this nation, soon will heal

Very good reminder to each and everyone of us! Let's remember that love is just not a word, but a verb that needs action with it!

You have such a sensitive heart to others!
God bless you abundantly!!!

Lovely poem of love. This poem reminded me of this particular poem named "The Soldiers Christmas Poem" here is the link. It made me cry hard.
