speaking my word while the hate spits it back
i would give anything to have just one week
of trivial pursuits and hear the ordinary speak

to remember how normal people must live
on scandals thoughts and misery they give
but alas i see the monsters that roam within us
the presences that scurried beneath society rust

people really dont want the true facts of the night
they love the ignorance of what they call life
bleeding hearts and smashed souls light fading within
these are the people that understand there sin

political dog fights and wars across seas
diverting our attention blind threw the trees
i may repeat the same point every day
but if no one hears what else can i say

live love and laught forget about the dark
these are your beasts that scaveage your park
remember the truth each and every day
thre is a reason we are here to stay

but beast and fowl are plagueing our way
how many millions will have to pay
cities might stop and militia running the street
bring out your dead the bell toll will weep

money and toys might fall from our grace
while we try to save the human race
back to barter and trade a simpler farce
mabey we can work all the problems from the start

I really liked a lot of the sentiment behind this one. Obviously strong feelings. I especially liked the ending. I'd polish it up a bit, though..refine it a bit.
