Oh look---once again
I'm just another face in the crowd
Your eyes are so far away
I can no longer see the sun

Oh--a busy street...............
Once again I'm merely another car,
another face
just another person
in this ****** up place

I used to mean something..........
I thought my happiness had worth

The light turns green.............
The car in front of me
changes lanes without signaling
Yet another sign
of how insignificant I've become

We used to hold hands
when I wasn't shifting gears
Now the guy's voice on the radio
is all I hear

I pull into your driveway.........
a box in my hand
full of memories we once shared
in a now far away land

I ring the bell...........
you of course take forever to answer the door
Here's your MMW,
I'm obviously not worthy of it anymore

Oh--I seemed to have
forgotten your belt
How ironic, you've forgotten about me
and the passion you and I once felt

You turn and walk away..........
That's something I'm still not used to
I'm gonna miss having
you hold me everyday

I pull out of the driveway..........
A guy almost hits my car
Maybe he should've killed me to show you
how truly awful it would be
for us to part

I'm driving along the same busy street........
Not a soul really even notices me

In your arms I meant the world......
Now I'm alone
and I'm just another girl

Zeppchic. We're all insignificant Read my poem"Theres got to be a better way"
Having said that your very good poem took me right back to when "The love of my life" chucked me. Parts of the next day were lost to me ,I did not know where I was or what I was doing, the skin on the palms of my hands peeled off and this went on for several days until her letter came .....the only words I can remember were ......I can't live without you.......

no one is insignificant, light a scented candle, walk outside and breathe the air.. tell your reflection,"I am special", because you are..
