stuck in the middle of this
in a messy sweetwater kiss
what i never asked for i still miss
since it is gone.
well now what could be right
or just has it all left
what became of the best
inside these songs.
the shards are out of the hole
but i don't need to have control
surprises are tallied up in my head.
yet for all my desire
there's nothing new to acquire
and i'm running ragged dawn straight to bed.

there's nothing new to acquire.

nothing.

what be came of that then?

well okay, we changed
so what's your name
the new one because you know nothing's the same.
what is the game
you change
and you're strange
and
hell, fire. i'm lost in all of the defending
living recommending
when all i really want i don't request.
hold to my chest
and hope for the best
what can you guess?
maybe i wish to confess

there's nothing new to acquire.

nothing.
nothing.

what be came of that then?

reading
feeding
seeing
meeting
leading
believing
what be came of that then?
trying
lying
defying
denying
crying and
dying
what be came of that then?
