I felt it really displays how I see racism and where I stand. I am completely against it but there's not a lot we can do to stop it. To despise another because of his skin color,
To feel superior because of his skin color?
What is it that drives a man to such extreme measures,
To command another merely because of his skin color,
To beat that man because he would not listen and of his skin color?
What is it that drives a man to such extreme measures,
To set fire to that man's house simply because of his skin color,
To harm that man's family only because of his skin color?
What is it that drives a man to such extreme measures,
To assemble a group against that man's skin color,
To never see that man past his skin color?
What is it that drives a man to such extreme measures,
To never know that man because of his skin color,
They may be good friends if he tried, but alas, look at that man's skin color.
What is it that drives a man to such extreme measures,
To judge solely on that man's skin color,
"he can't be good, look at his skin color"
What is it that drives a man to such extreme measures,
To hang that man just because of his skin color,
And kill that man because of his skin color?
What is it that drives a man to such extreme measures,
I figured it out, but I'm afraid it is too late,
The answer to our riddle is nothing less than hate.
What can we do to help they ask,
I'm afraid it's all ready been said,
Nothing we can do now , because no matter what we do,
