I never had a daddy,
No one to take me in their arms and tell me it's alright,
There was never anyone there to comfort me,
When I was scared at night.
No one to watch over me,
To make sure I turned out okay,
No one to take my hand,
And guide me when I lost my way.

Mummy, I'm sorry,
But you never seemed to care,
And although I never had a daddy,
He wasn't the only one not there.
You weren't there for comfort,
When I felt I needed to be held,
You were always working or out with guys,
So I was left all by myself.

So where did this all leave me?
I was depressed and only fifteen,
I needed a daddy with me,
But to you mum what did that mean?
Well mum, I'd take my bets on nothing,
And mum hey I wasn't alright,
I needed a daddy to be with me,
So I wouldn't have killed myself tonight.

DADDY

...you captured the pathos...I felt it...someday, I'll post my poem, Consumed By the Worms...emotional pain is far, far beyond physical pain...

Thanks for immortalizing that precious little girl...

blessings,

enigma...ron
