the soil released a brilliant scent.
Angelic guardians loomed above me
where all my cherished dreams are spent.

But I have been awoken now
from the subtle flash of your tender face.
You have been gone now for sometime
yet I am still trapped in this awful place.

I know how it feels to be alone
with a soul full of sorrow.
How could the sun possibly rise
without you in my life tomorrow?

I still see your name in the clouds,
and your reflection in the lake.
When the sun sets each night in flames,
my longing for you is forever awake.

I want to hold you once again,
and look into your warming eyes.
But that flower that was once you,
slowly withers away and dies.

On this half-mooned morning,
the pain still has not died away.
As dawn begins blooming scarlet,
my life will bleed another day.

Can I keep this pain inside?
Your silent ghost evokes me misery.
Will the guilt just wash away?
Or will you ever come to forgive me.. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 234 [topic] => 22 [informant] => mccscratch [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )
