My once glorious wings being pulled slowly out from my body.
The pain from these chains holding me is horrible.
They squeeze and tear until I am near death then let go.
For hours I just fade away into the darkness only to be pulled back again by writhing pain.
It seems like they pull out my soul only to place it back again just in time for my body to live.
What happened?
How did I even get here on this chained pillar high above the soaring wings of heaven?
When will this all stop?
I don’t have answers and my voice had long ago gone out.
I don’t know how long I’ve been here but it has seemed like centuries.
I do not remember anything before the pain.
Just as I thought I would fade out again wing beats cause me to look up at the figure flying towards me.
He seemed familiar but yet I knew not who he was.
I knew him yet I didn’t.
Coming up to me he lands on my stone pillar with a smiling face.
He speaks words I cannot hear and the chains slide off my body like snakes.
He holds out his strong hand to me and I take it.
He pulls me to where I am standing; my knees give out from not being used for what could have been years.
But he uses his strength to hold up my trembling figure.
I knew there was blood all over my robe but he didn’t care.
His smile was so warming all I could do was tried to smile myself.
More words come from his mouth but I am still deaf to the words.
I try to speak, but from the screaming I had once done, my voice has vanished.
I know he doesn’t hold it against me.
All he does is hold me close to the beating heart in his strong chest. It's great. I think it has only one flaw I've found is that lines are a little bit too long, but it's only my personal sense of aesthetics.
