When the time was right, you let me go.
I left my childhood to become a wife.
You have lived out the days of your life.
Now it is time for me to be strong.
For you are the one who is moving on.
Though this is hard, I know I must try.
To smile through my tears and say, Goodbye. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 255 [topic] => 55 [informant] => OzChick [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => dedicatedpoems )

Well written, poetic, and the sentiment almost brought this guy to tears. The exchange of roles- the one who leaves/the one who stays - was very neatly and beautifully written. I think your mom would be proud.
