Array ( [sid] => 10655 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Leaves In The Cold [time] => 2003-01-18 13:40:00 [hometext] => i was just sitting around, trying to study. Doodling on my notes more then anything else, i look out the window watching the wind's manic dance and quite unxpectantly, caught a glimpse of something, of someone rather. My brain processed 'hey there's my buddy!' but my heart felt something else. He and another mutual friend of ours had obviously come back from lunch and they were running together, probably going to study some more. He had this smile on his face, something that I never managed to give him. And his soundless laughter unhibited brought me feelings unwanted...n now discarded. It was a precious moment of insight at that time so i had to capture it with words. Enjoy. [bodytext] =>
Lost in contemplation, I sit looking out the window yet not 'seeing'.
It takes a couple seconds to impact
And when it does it's too late...he's gone.
And yet the image remains
Of him running with childish wonder...
with this inexplainable exuberant happiness
That I could only wish to someday find.

Rebellious touchable hair that exhibit the freedom that he evidently posesses and enjoys.
That feeling of freedom that i'm obviously still looking for...

Unseen obstacles hold me back and
I'm caught in this colourful confusing abyss,
clueless to the direction to take to find true fulfillment.

That one almost dream-like second,
that glimpse of what I'm missing,
Of what I'm LETTING myself ignore,
Is deeply rooted to this urge to forget.

To not feel. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 166 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Arwen [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
