The one I fear most is me
My hands are gripping the knife,
Threatening to destroy and end my life

(Oh, don’t get me wrong
This is a poem, not a song
So finding me positive is rare
But about that you don’t care)

I’m not afraid of the knife
I’m just afraid of my life
And that stupid inner voice
Yelling at me about my choice

That damned voice in my head,
Annoying me all day and in bed,
Saying that I’m smarter that that
And I don’t have 9 lives- I’m not a cat

Telling me that I only have one
And to enjoy it and have fun
That stupid little voice there everyday
Until I can just finally push it away

So now that I’ve done so
I am without my worst foe
That stupid voice yelling at me
It was my own worst enemy

So now with that voice gone
I can do what is meant to be done
I can finally pick up the knife
And say goodbye to my life

I can commit the perfect crime,
I can commit my own suicide
Without anyone yelling at me
Without my own worst enemy

I am my own worst enemy
The one I fear most is me
My hands are gripping the knife,

We are ALL our worst enemy, or may i point out critic.......we, think the worst, and see the worst ,as well. Let others, be the judge.and if they see bad, then make them explain. Many will be truthful, and many will lie. yet in the heart, you will know who is truthful.

Always know you are loved, and love yourself as well. You are all you have, along with the Lord.

So, keep thinking positive and just know when times are at the point when you think you cannot push on, go to sleep, wake up refreshed, tomorrow is a brand new day.

Suicide does not help, either does drinking. Do not be afraid of yourself, grab hold of the Lord and He will help you live each day with grace and beauty.

The write is well expressed, in words, a felt sense, I only hope it is a poem, and not real intentions of ever taking your life or someone elses.

Keep writing and chin up, and just know the sun always shines even when you cannot view it.

When I read the title I thought it was gonna be like the song "My worst enemy" by Pink but your song is actually the opposite. The voice you are killing is your conscience and deserves a quote from the bible which I will not quote. So if I do a little modification artistically I can rearrange a quote from Pink's song saying; "You want to get you"

Scary poem cause I've been there, but a good write. I hope you stick around to write more.
