it hurts but we all know that grown men dont cry
the blue and black sky after the rain that night almost seemed as if it were the sky that was breaking my heart
if it was only that simple
the rain drops on the tin roof.
the love we made that night.
the way your kiss would bring me into ecstasy,
completely oblivious to anything when i was with you
nothing else mattered
nothing does matter

you left that morning
i still would like to know why
but i know that when you figure out what you need
you will be coming right back to me

i still sit and wait under that tin roof
the black and blue sky is now orange and red
and no more raindrops

Very sad write.

I hope the black and blue marks of your sky is healing.

Now that the orange and red sky has come, you can stand now. It is time to move on.

This write gave me a chill. The sound of the raindrops hitting that tin roof was very loud.

Be well,

Raquel Leah

This poem reminded me of the forbidden love in "Bridges of Madison County". I can only hope for your sake your love does return. This is written well and pulled my heart right into it.

Blessings,
Rita

Yes, grown men don't cry, they may do poetry.
