to hold me tight
but you couldn't 'cause of HER

You never got my letters
not even the one I left in 99
I've been to Newfoundland 6 times

If I could turn back time
I'd beg my mom to stay
I'd move in with you
or my best friend Kris
now you're getting married
I hate it 'cause you're supposed
to marry me, not HER

Why did fate have to be so cruel
Why did she have to split us apart
I miss you so much
I think about you all the time
now that Kris reminded me
I've thought of you since 1999

When I heard you were engaged
Last christmas it broke my heart
when no one was looking
I cried 'till I couldn't cry anymore

why did you tell me you wanted to kiss me
but instead we just hugged eachother
I don't know what will happen at your wedding
but i know I'll do something stupid
Please forgive me for what I will do

Hey who knows
If I'm lucky
you might not even
get married to Her
You promised me
we'd get married
Ohh well, I guess

A very interesting poem, I kind of know how you feel, I guess I can sort of relate to this poem, my friend had a boyfriend, she was very pretty, and I wished so much that I could have her, so once in awhile when I couldnt take it anymore she would let me rub her hand. Heh. Anyway keep up the good writing. SLipSiX.

Sometimes, we have such a good thing, we over look it.yet sometimes they over look what they had also. People do things, that dont always take a snap to em. If, you think its there go with is.as, i always so.......Dont go or look for the furture..go for the moment.! Sometime the moment, might be the only time we have.! No one can guarentee the furture.! Good write tho.

Being friends with the one you love most is a very difficult thing to do and handle. I know from experience. But....allowing that person to be with whom ever they choose to be with is a greater love cause forcing them to love you while that isnt what they want is never a good thing and it will hurt loads in the end. When you can let go of the person and get involved with someone they choose then you truly love them as you want whats best for them even tho that person isnt you. Its very very hard n difficult I truly know that.

Thanks for sharing this lovely write.

Hugsss,

Nats.

Being friends with someone you love dearly is a very hard thing, especially since you want to be more than friends. I hope that things work out for the best. This was a very good write, keep it up.

bye,

Hey Laina,

This is a really good poem. 2 people promised me marriage throughout my life already and neither of them went through or will go through with their promises so I can relate to this tons but you know what if you really love this guy you'll let him love who he wants and be happy for him, it's hard I know but hey, at least you're invited to his wedding, that must mean you mean a lot to him and he wants you there to share in the festivities. So go and be happy for him.

This is really well written. Very emotional. It's the old "you don't know what you've got till someone else wants it" type of thing... Great Job!

Sometimes just being friends with someone you wanted more from can be a difficult and painful experience.
From reading this piece it's obvious what you would choose if you could
Good luck

Steve
