They say love is a gift of life.
They say love is everlasting,
But all of that is a lie.

They said love is a reason to live,
Even though it's the reson I almost died.
They said love brings everlasting happiness,
Even though I was always crying.

When you're in love,
And no one love's you back,
You are torn up inside,
And your soul is tarred and black.

When you feel these emtions,
There is nothing you can do,
Except take the pain and agony,
And hope you make it through.

But when your dead,
And your blood runs strong and red,
You don't feel anything,
And nothing goes through your head.

No more sorrow,
No more torment,
No more tears,
No more feelings of lament.

Love is colder than death,
That's the real truth.
Love is colder than death,
And death is what I choose. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 428 [topic] => 13 [informant] => forsaken_soul33 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Thank you so much for sharing this with me, I do not disagree with you at all, I agree with you fully, love is usually lie, even though most people do not really look for love I just wrote a suicide poem about a love hurting me as well. SLipSiX. Keep up the awesome writing. The-brokn-rose.

Love has a different meaning than most for me. I think this is a cool poem though.

it is.,,,,,,,,but isnt.! We all have that true love of one.its just finding it and keeping it. My pap and nanie had it, 50+ yrs.....and it was love. It was taken tho.but they cherished what they had. The neighbors beside us, they have it.well in their 60's and he still pops her butt and laughs..............NOW THATS LOVE! That is what all wished for, but it doesnt happen ;I think you have to make it happen.and its called Communication>! Sorry my opinion.!

Love is a powerful thing, it can cause many people to do silly things and act stupid. I truly feel your pain and agony as I am going thru the same thing atm. I too posted a poem recently about this matter. I felt sooo close to these words in your poem:

When you're in love,
And no one love's you back,
You are torn up inside,
And your soul is tarred and black.

This is how I feel aswell, torn up and having a soul tarred n black.
It seems lately that when ever I open up emotionally, I get stabbed in the back for it. We Pisces are the most emotional sign in astrology and it feels as tho we get punished for it all the time. I thought I had it made and found me Mr.Right after years of pain n agony. He then tells me he doesnt love me, now it feels like me whole world had collapsed around me and yet once again I got hurt. For me atm Love is colder than death.

Thanks for sharing this poem.

Huggsss,

Nats.
