And all felt hurt
It killed me more than I can say
But, God wanted it that way
So, I decided to close off,
Fight alone and be ‘tough’
Decided silent was best for me
That it was the way to be
But then you were a friend,
Your love and care, you would send
You told me not to be alone
And not to fight on my own
I started to trust you
And you were so nice, too
You pulled me in
Said that together, we could win
I believed you
And trusted you, too
I figured that you were my friend,
Like you said we would be until the end
I told you things that I never should have
Things that were and are tearing me in half
You said it was fine,
You will always be at my side

Well, now when I look for you
I know that you were so untrue
Because you are not in sight
I feel like I am looking at night
So yet, again, another trusted
And I’m again broken and busted,
I trusted you and then you left
Even though you knew I was in stress,
Living in anger and pain,
Living in total vain,
But you left me all alone,
Left to fight on my own
Said that we could not be friends
And left even though it is not the end
You hurt me, too, just like I thought
I thought you were the friend I sought,
But you told me goodbye and left me
Just got up and left me to be
I knew if I trusted someone,
That I would be hurt by that person
You only proved me right,
That I was meant to be alone in this fight
Chosen to be alone in life,
Just me and myself in this strife
Even though it hurts not to talk,
It hurts more to have someone walk
In the direction opposite me
So I guess it is just meant to be
That I do not trust anyone,
Do not talk about what is wrong
So, thank-you for leaving
In my time of need
Thanks for pulling me to you
Just to let me go and live confused

So, I was right
To live and fight
All alone
And all on my own

I find it hard to trust people. Too many times they turn on you and you wind up hurt and betrayed. I hope this write helped you to get it out of your system. Good poem. Peace to ya.

Another poem full of raw emotion. I really enjoy these poems, no matter how dark they are. This one really was full of emotion too. Nice write. But there's always a bright side.

Hate when they prove you right :( I loved how much emotion was spilled here. Thankyou for your poem!
