I have strong romatic feelings for her, but yet I fear ruining our great friendship if I tell her how I feel.* [bodytext] => You walked into my life two years ago
Not knowing
that this poem would be in my brain right now.
I walked into your life two years ago
wanting deperatly to have an affect on someone.
You offered me friendship,
which is something
that not a lot of people offered at that time.
And in return I offered you my friendship,
it was simple
we were friends.

A lot of things happened to both of us
in the next two years.
We both had our separate relationships,
but you and I stayed friends.
Every morning at 7:30
You would come in
And we'd walk laps around the
dark, empty, morning halls.
You'd speak of him.
Some days you'd come in crying
after one of the many break ups you had.
And I grew to hate him.
I hated him for the tears he made run down your face.
With every tear that splashed on the floor
I hated him.

But then one day, I felt a different emotion.
I saw the tears running down your face,
and all I could think about was kissing you.
Kissing away all the pain.
I gotta tell you,
It got so bad that I had to restrain myself from doing it.

But then I thought, "why am I stopping myself?"
"Why don't I just go in there, and sweep you off you're feet?"

So here's the moral of this story.
You mean more to me than you'll ever know.
You're the reason that I print out Dawson's Creek scripts
and read them with you.
Because while im reciting Dawson's lines to Josephine,
In the back of my mind, I pray that one day,
you'll let me read for Pacey.
You're the reason
that when I hear St. Thomas More's church bells,
I think of you.
You are the reason I go to St. Thomas More
instead of St. Anne's on some Sundays

You're always saying, I'm your Dawson,
and you're my Josephine.
Well, Josephine Potter,
I'd just like to say
that I've always wanted to be your Pacey Whitter.

And so, here I am.
just another guy
professing his love to a girl,
that he'll never have.
Here I am, like a stupid,
teen drama-junkie.
Afraid of ruining his best friendship,
with those three little words.

So here we are today,
and you still offer me friendship.
And in return...

...I offer you my love...

I like the poem and I have to tell you that you are crazy not to tell this girl how you feel. She'll either make your dreams come true or break your heart. At any rate, at least you'll know how she feels and can move on with your life in whatever direction it takes you.

You know, if you don't tell her you will still end up ruining the relationship because you are going to let some other guy catch her eye and heart and you will never know if you possibly even had a chance. It is a 50/50 chance your taking when she might end up being 100% yours. Just my opinion.

Hey man, so glad you were inspired to bare yourself! Of course, she inspired you more than anything else. I hope she's a real person in your life, because then you can be lucky. 7:30 regular Rendezvous? I read all your other poems first, and I must say that this is the first poem I've read that left me feeling jealous. You really pull off a sense of a really strong relationship, a fresh doorway (you know, one door closes...) that you linger on the doorstep to because of a fear, which is an underplayed scar. I know something everyone else here doesn't (hee hee, I feel privileged), so if you really are hesitant, I think it's a good thing. Okay, everyone else who comments may hate me now, but listen: you do want to tell her you like her, and desire a strong bond, but don't become dependent. If she's afraid of commitment, go easy on her... although you have much more experience so I'll shut up now! Okay, only 14 more poems to go back and comment on! ^_~

Now i dont want to be responsible for your heartache should things not turn out the way you and everyone here hopes, but i don't see how if you show her this poem she wont be extremely moved and look at you as more than a friend, who knows perhaps she has already thought about, it seems inevitable since you've been there for her after all those breakups. On the other hand i've never been able to figure out how a girl would react, where i thought i had it figured out i just...well it didn't work. I understand you dont want to ruin a great friendship, but you might actually ruin it yes, if you don't confess your emotions to her. Just tell her how you feel and dont expect anything in return, do it so you dont have to hide it. If she reciprocates than that's awesome, if not then at least you've been completely honest with her which i know you want to do. Moving writing, God bless.

I noticed I practically said nothing about your writing on this one, and that's just inexcusable. Compared to your earlier works, this one has much more poetic flare, and you use more abstract imagery that comes off strong (without being too abstract to lose the reader). "...Those three little words" We all know which three ^_~. Also how you grew to have your feelings about people you probably don't know well through the seeds Sus sowed, how you grew to hate each suitor as she was pained by them.
(I read this poem to "ahem" Kim M., and she thought that you were talking about the bells at St. Thomas' at first, not a girl. Interesting. To love an object because it reminds you of someone...)
Keep up the work!

hey i know this about (being both ur friends), so im not gonna say to much just that she is the same age as me so u mite want ot be careful, plus she is still getting over her last bf, (which u probably knew), i think it will take a while being they were together and broken up ALOT! Also ur going to collage so u mite wan to to keep that in mind, u never know u mite find someone there. I think a big reason u have feelings for her is because you have seen everything she has been through and u dont want to see her hurt anymore. Just think about it before u do anything.... :-)
