Is in my sight.
I reach for it with all my might.
It seems so far away,
As it shines strong and bright.

The blade seems my only escape,
From the pain and depair I feel everyday.
To help me forget all the things I can't stand,
I take the divine blade in my hand.

The blade calls my name,
And tells me that it will take,
All my pain, saddness, and anger away.
Although I know that it is a lie,
I take the blade and start to slice,
Through my veins and let my regrets demise.

When the deed is over,
And I realize what I have done,
I break down and cry,
As I begin to run.

I run fast and far,
Suddenly I see a shooting star.
I make a wish,
For me to be content,
Just for a second.

Then I see it fall from the sky,
I think I see an angel descending from flight.
It shines as it gets close,
And I see the blade I had before.

It lands on the ground at my feet,
And I wonder, 'Is this what it is to be happy?'
I take the blade in my hand again,
As I remember what it did to me.

I hold it strong and tight,
And vow to never let it out of my sight.
I go to my room,
And put it in my drawer,
Because I know I will need it tomorrow,
When this whole ordeal is over.

But I know that this isn't the end,
Tomorrow I will run again.
The blade will land at my feet,
And I will be stuck in this dreadful cycle for eternity.
