This started out as a way of relief
And i'm starting to think it's taking it's toll
I did it stop the grief
But now it's an addiction
Cut again, blood runs free
The perfect cutter's depiction
What the hell is wrong with me
I'm feeling fine
Humming as i put away the silverware
Pick up a knife, see how it can shine
My mind is filled with thoughts i can not share
Hold out my arm, slide it across my skin
It feels so good, why did i ever want to stop
How can this pleasure be such a sin
A feeling that nothing can top
I thought I was okay
I had no reason
Guess these scars are here to stay
Against my own body I'm commiting treason
Yet I don't even care
Lucky, I've got friends that do

I've lost control
This started out as a way of relief
