Squeezing my eyes tight to fight back the tears
Reminiscing through the stages of my short life
I need to be rescued from all my lies and fears

I can’t take all the deception and strain anymore
Its all proving too much to bear, let alone affray
I must find a way out, a means to an overdue end
To break these false shackles, and lead me astray

All that I believed in; my convictions, dust to dust
Dissolute. Crumbling like weary façades of age old
I’m tired. Let my somnolent body rest evermore
Let the winds of change take me away from the cold
