I happen upon a bomb shelter,
only it seems that the bomb has already
detonated.

Factories of corrigated people,
once productive,
lie crushed one upon another,
for heat, or discomforture - I know not.
Only I know how they work this floor,
wet and cold, in fatigue.

A stick in a barrel blooms
into a solitary orange flower,
its petals licking at the depths
of my adventurous soul . . .
