That’s all you can do now
Long ago…so full of verve
A red-headed firecracker
Bursting to show everyone
There is nothing you could not initiate
At this moment…
your eyes are tired
not blue as they once were
Muddy…dull gray
Your face has always been too pale
somehow… luminous
the inner beauty
shone through
Unexpectedly you rise up
open your mouth to speak
We do not understand your words
but…say we do
The significance of your last expressions
is eminent
however…
we will not know their meaning
in this lifetime
