Smooth fluctuating contours of air,
Lift her effortlessly sky bound.
From the waves soft floating seaware,
Through wispy clouds gathering ground.
Schools of dolphins play guided by sonar,
Tiger sharks home in on its prey.
Whales ghostly cry carried from afar,
Funnels of foamy water gather and spray.
Forests, now only stubs remain,
Forestation, burning, not much habitat.
What have they possibly got to gain?
Destroying the land charring it black.
Swooping downwards over island of jagged stone,
She spies a possible rest site.
Feathers damp, plump, wind blown,
Coldness taking hold in the sparse moonlight.
Refreshed the amber sun begins to set,
The blue vastness still, not a ripple around.
Amorous gulls circling, advances croquet,
A seal disappears in a crimson tide, enemy so renowned.
She searches for a new nest site on a small island,
Satisfied danger is quite low.
Something strong needed able to withstand,
And a source of natural warm airflow.
A smooth wind cut outcrop makes up her mind,
Security assured for her offspring to be.
Away from the ever expanding mankind,
And the cold vast blue oceans ferocious melee.

Bird Of Prey

Smooth fluctuating contours of air,
