I saw Santa in a hay bale,
it really made my day
even the sleigh and reindeer
were crafted in rolled hay.

funny to see him in this place,
it brought a smile to my face:
and while the cows ate his butt,
I drove on my merry way.

I saw Jesus in a tortilla,
it really made my day
and although it was sacrilicious,
I ate him anyway.
not sure why the Prince of Peace
would manifest in my grease,
but he really hit the spot
as I drove on my merry way.

houses buried under lights,
frenzied buying in the malls:
I even saw a naked Claus
wearing only silver balls!

Xmas pub crawls, booze and thongs,
bad cartoons and sprayed-on cheer:
blown out funds and cheesy songs,
the same as every year.

I saw smiling faces on my street,
it really made my day:
and though I know it’s fleeting,
drove on my merry way.
