To the question I proposed.

All were honest; none the same;
As different as from whom they came!

What is love? My letter asked;
And what would you have said to that?

Well, to this day I still dont know;
Which answers wrong or right, and so

That leaves us just one litmus test;
To ask that someone we know best;
What is love? And should we find;
Their answer matches ours in kind;

Would that fragile supposition;
Be sufficient definition;
To invest your heart once more?
Knowing what might be in store?

Only gamblers take that chance;
On luck; on crazy circumstance!

All promises, no guarantees;
On worse odds than the lottery!
No ali ali oxen free!

We have to opt to take our lumps;
No one falls until they jump!

Until we do, well never know;
(A hundred thousand times or so)!
