Form the shadows of loathsome partisans,
emerged a famine stuck folk
drenched in hardship,
deprived and in misery; drifting
on their primitive catamaran;
riding the sea of sad salty tears
of their own, in search of nourishment.

Naive and unbothered
of their civil perception,
move on minding their own purpose,
yet hindered by the so call privileged
autocratic thugs, snatching away
their days’ gatherings,
leaving behind hungry, depressed
and dejected folk, in the midst of
their own ocean of tears,
lost and marooned; pushed to the brim
of reckless act of death.

Over deceased bodies gather, these vultures of power
with flowery words looking for a pound of meat to chew… Sad but true!

Demons of Poverty

Form the shadows of loathsome partisans,
emerged a famine stuck folk
drenched in hardship,
deprived and in misery; drifting
on their primitive catamaran;
riding the sea of sad salty tears
of their own, in search of nourishment.

Naive and unbothered
of their civil perception,
move on minding their own purpose,
yet hindered by the so call privileged
autocratic thugs, snatching away
their days’ gatherings,
leaving behind hungry, depressed
and dejected folk, in the midst of
their own ocean of tears,
lost and marooned; pushed to the brim
of reckless act of death.

Over deceased bodies gather, these vultures of power
with flowery words looking for a pound of meat to chew… Sad but true!
