[hometext] => We will not be going back.
[bodytext] => They came from the sky;
Enslaved us to live;
Returning so little for all that we give.
We became too much trouble to manage and breed;
Control and keep healthy, clothe, house and feed.
So they took what they came for, and called it a day;
And left us behind to find our own way.
The burdens of freedom fell squarely upon us;
We struggled, made war, and drew lines in the dust. .
The joke is on them; We more than survived!
No longer captives; we actually thrived!
Were watching the stars; and we don’t wish them well.
We hope they go far; (but you never can tell).
We’ve tasted of freedom, and should they return;
They’ll find what they taught us cannot be unlearned;
Far better for certain to die where we stand;
Than live on our knees at another’s command.
