I was hoping I wouldn’t feel it no more
But here it is knocking on my door
All I want to do is go out and score

For it makes me feel like nothings wrong
I could even sit and write a song
I would feel like everything was good
I would feel as if everything had been, as it should

I think about the rush I’ll get
When the drug of choice starts to hit
I’d fly off to another place
A world where I’m not a big disgrace

People would like me and see me as bright
For I would love everyone throughout the night
With the music pumping by the DJ up high
I’d mentally float away like a bird I’d fly

I’d feel the dumping of serotonin in my brain
And it would trickle down and move all through my veins
My whole body would start moving to the rhythm of the beat
My arms would start raving all the way down to my feet

And I’d “blow up” to the ultimate high
Feeling like I was touching the sky
For in that moment I would live a different life
One not full of pain and strife

I’d eventually come down and see my addiction
And then there’s a possible chance for self-infliction
For severe depression would then have sunk in
Until I get the chance to get my fix again
