A lone fish in the sea, waiting to be caught.
A lone fisherman, with only one thought.
A lone mountaineer who reaches the peak, only to climb down alone.
The man who stands in the middle of the street, never to be known.
Nobody to share happiness with, no one to wipe your tears away.
Leaving this world lonely. ‘Meal for one’ is but a cold cliché.
The man who has no visitors at his grave, has no time to cry.
As people walk past unknowingly, no one ever said goodbye.
An empty will is all that was left.
As he made his last breath.
Always standing behind and never alongside.
Never getting to stand at the end of the aisle, waiting for his bride.
Taking his last breath, being the only person to hear his last words.
As he goes, he’s finally not alone, now buried, he needs no words.
