[title] => SNOWFLAKES IN THE AIR!
[time] => 2011-12-01 20:17:32
[hometext] =>
[bodytext] => I was born and raised in Florida.
But there’s a chill outside tonight.
The temperature is near thirty,
Ground frost is quite a sight.
I know I’ve seen the seasons change,
Turning green leaves into brown,
And many other beautiful colors,
But not in most Florida towns!
My northern family was talking,
Saying it had to come sometime,
Asking wouldn’t I like to come and play
In the snow when sleigh bells chime!
You know I wish that I was younger.
Because back then I used to wish,
That I’d see snow at Christmas time,
Instead of Palms and swamps, and fish.
But the Good Lord showed me plenty
Through the years when I had moved.
But I learned there is no purpose now
Where that stuff could do me any good.
Let the children go and play outside
Bundled up like the Michelin Man.
While adults slip and slide and fall and cry
Breaking every single thing they can.
Hey look I see a snowflake there,
Falling down from way up high.
Oh no, that was just seagull poop
As it splashed me in the eye!
