A being she never wished to be
Not able to fix her mistake
She was trying hard not to break
She hadn't meant what she had done
But now all hope was surely gone
A simple cut was all she had wanted
A thought that left her feeling haunted
She had been shocked as her wrist turned red
The pain was grueling as it started to spread
She tried not to scream and cry in pain
For she knew soon her soul would be slain
A noise had sent her life out of control
A tug of the skin turned into a pull
Now she was bleeding to death
Her chest raised from shallow breath
She didn't want to die that night
But her body moved closer to the light
The following morning her family awoke
To the sickening stench of death and smoke
Her funeral that day was quiet and long
Her family just wants to know what went wrong...
