In our darkest of times
Is when it is hardest
Yet it is most important
We must learn to focus
On our blessings
No matter how few
Before we drown in our own tears
You may look around
Realize you have nothing
Except your friends
But love can sail you far
If you let yourself go
Sometimes you feel so desperate
These feelings I know well
Darkness closes in around you
We must fight that forboding
And feed our inner light
Until we have it bright enough
So that we may see our blessings
The darkness cannot consume
Unless you allow it
I am a fighter and I have this song
For any who will listen
It's my true blessing for my friends
Who are willing to sing with me
There is no magical key
There is no magical code
You only have to be willing
To speak against the darkness
